Hope Housing Training and Support were proud to host the Gratitude Gala Dinner at Parley Manor - in Bournemouth on Thursday 7th September 2023 to help raise funds for their charity which supports vulnerable adults into safe, supported accommodation. ♥
Locals and Dorset based businesses ventured out for this ultimate charity fundraiser, brilliantly led by the charming Paul Kinvig. A fun-filled evening including a raffle, live auction, gift ceremony, a lavish 3-course dinner and entertainment from Paul Larcombe, the only Elvis Tribute in the world to have performed, live and solo, for the Queen and the Royal Family on three separate occasions.
With help from supporters, 1st Waste Solutions, AJC Group, Reward IT, Global, Merlin’s, MPloy and all the other individual friends of hope that filled the tables we were hoping to raise £5000 for Hope Housing on the night.
We are all affected by homelessness in our county. People that find themselves on the streets or in supported accommodation are incredibly vulnerable and have usually experienced considerable trauma. They need help and support to rebuild their lives and recover from their experiences.
Hope Housing offer supported accommodation for a variety of needs. Their intensive support programme is tailored to each individual, empowering them to reach their full potential. They have created strong partnerships with local businesses and training providers to offer a wide range of opportunities to motivate and prepare people for employment.
Julie Berti, CEO of Hope Housing, took to the stage once more, telling the amazing stories of some of the people the charity has supported over the years, which didn’t leave many dry eyes in the room.
Hope and more, a community interest company which was set up to assist Hope Housing in funding, kindly provided a table favour in the form of a beautiful hand-made bar of soap with their name on which was made in our very own Soap Kitchen. Each guest received a hand made bar of soap which was made by Hopes very own staff. We felt this was a wonderful alternative to card table names!
As the evening ended, Paul announced that the evening had raised just over £10,000 for the charity, which we are so grateful for!
In the words of Elvis, Thank you very much!
